Clarification and Consent on the Processing of Personal Data

As Umay İlaç San ve Tic AŞ, we attach great importance to the protection and processing of personal data belonging to individuals associated with our Company, including our customers, consumers, and employees, in accordance with the Constitution of the Republic of Türkiye, international agreements on human rights to which our country is a party, and primarily the Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data (“KVKK”), as well as other applicable legislation.

Within this framework, we would like to inform you in our capacity as the Data Controller under the KVKK.

The personal data you share with our Company as a customer, consumer, supplier, or employee may be processed in accordance with the KVKK, in a manner relevant, limited, and proportionate to our business and service purposes; may be transferred to third parties domestically or abroad; stored; used for profiling; and classified.

Processing of Your Data

Your personal data will be processed:

  • In accordance with the law and principles of good faith,
  • In a manner relevant, limited, and proportionate to the purposes for which they are processed,
  • Accurately and up to date,
  • For specific, explicit, and legitimate purposes.

As the data controller, our Company may process your personal data to better understand you, identify your needs, respond more quickly to your requests, improve our communication with you, provide better and more personalized products, services, and offers, conduct analyses, inform you about our products and services, measure your satisfaction, improve and diversify our offerings, carry out quality and standard audits, and fulfill legal reporting and other obligations.

Employee data may be processed in accordance with labor law and social security legislation, as well as within our human resources policies, to improve performance, employee satisfaction, workplace safety, and operational efficiency, either by our Company or by authorized third parties.

Transfer of Your Data

Your personal data may be shared with group companies, business partners, affiliates, subcontractors, and relevant regulatory authorities, both domestically and internationally, in accordance with KVKK and applicable legislation, for the purposes outlined above.

Method and Legal Basis for Data Collection

Your personal data may be collected verbally, in writing, or electronically within the scope described above.

Data may be collected by our Company or authorized third parties through, including but not limited to:

  • Membership forms filled out electronically,
  • Loyalty program registrations,
  • Social networks used for login,
  • Our websites or third-party websites,
  • Contact forms,
  • Online shopping platforms,
  • Electronic book applications,
  • Contracts signed with our Company,
  • Emails, fax, letters, and other communication channels.

Your Rights as a Data Subject

Within the scope of KVKK and applicable legislation, you have the right to:

  • Learn whether your personal data is processed,
  • Request information if your data has been processed,
  • Learn the purpose of processing and whether it is used accordingly,
  • Know the third parties to whom your data is transferred,
  • Request correction of incomplete or inaccurate data,
  • Request deletion or destruction of your data under legal conditions,
  • Request notification of such corrections/deletions to third parties,
  • Object to results arising from automated processing,
  • Request compensation if you suffer damage due to unlawful processing.

You may submit your requests in writing or via other methods determined by the Personal Data Protection Authority.
